Local Love September 12 2019

Someone anonymously took the time to nominate us with "ShareWorthy Vancouver" after meeting us at one of the Summer festivals we attended this year!

Shareworthy is an fantastic site that gives shout-outs and love to local businesses who have a loyal following amongst their peers and colleagues alike.

Please head on over to their nominations page  to check out the interview, we hope you  enjoy it as much as we did doing it, and while you're there- check out some of our awesome peers.

Seriously- it's just an honour to be nominated...

And, a HUGE thank you to our supporters- those of you who come by and say hi at festivals, buy something online or in person and follow-us on Social Media. Your support, anonymous or not, means the world to us and helps keep this little Canadian Company running.

Canadian Crests by Marcus Hynes June 25 2019

Introducing the newest designs to come to life on our birch coasters, magnets, ornaments and postcards. The vibrant and lively artwork has been created by the BC Graphic designer, illustrator and print maker, Marcus Hynes.

Originally from Newfoundland, Marcus fell in love and relocated to British Columbia in 2009. His success as a designer and artist is because much of his work is self-initiated, he creates for himself first and views it as a means of showing all his gratitude for the positives in his life. His love for British Columbia has led most of his work to focus on this beautiful province.

Marcus has created commissioned work for some impressive clients, including CBC Vancouver, the Museum of Vancouver, the University of British Columbia, Mt. Seymour and Sea to Sky parks.

He is also the organizer and host of Vancouver Designers + Creatives group on Meetup.com.

His passion and joy for art is evident in his designs that have taken inspiration from the beauty and wonder of nature. His artwork evokes joy and delight as the vivacious colours and details bring to life locations all around BC. His work inspires a revived appreciation of history, nature and a sense of place.

Marcus' crests are as fun as they are functional. They evoke a playful "collect 'em all" urge and we hope to see more from this energetic and joyful designer frequently.

It has been a pleasure to work with this amazing creative and see his art stand out on our printed wood products.

Fathers Day 2019- Local Gift Guide May 31 2019

Taking creativity (literarily!) into her own hands, bride Bev took to designing hand lettered signage  for her wedding in 2015. It shouldn't have taken her by surprise when she was able to sell that first hand lettered chalkboard to another bride shortly after!

"Hand Lettered Love" offers a wide range of custom services from custom signage to mirror lettering and chalk boards that are fresh, fun and full of love.

We we're so excited to be included in her curated  FATHER’S DAY LOCAL GIFT GUIDE blog alongside some wonderful local shops and businesses. We look forward to seeing where this bright female entrepreneur will go next!

Thank you Bev for including us!
